Duplex Steel UNS S32205 Buttweld Fittings

Made from Duplex 2205 (UNS S32205, WNR 1.4462) this grade of stainless steel combines the best qualities of austenitic and ferritic steels. It has 21–23% chromium, 4.5–6.5% nickel, 2.5–3.5% molybdenum and 0.14–0.20% nitrogen. This particular combination provides high corrosion resistance, particularly against stress corrosion cracking and pitting. Mechanical properties of high tensile strength of 800 MPa and yield strength of 550 MPa with 15% elongation make it durable and tough when put under pressure.
